The song Snow Angel is about treasuring the moment, being playful and present. It is about the fascinating beauty of the perishable. A snow angel is a piece of art that we all can make, but never keep.

Originally the song was written in my native language, Swedish. The idea for the song came when I was planning a concert in a church just after the Christmas holidays. When I was asked to give the concert a name, I heard myself say ”let’s call it ”Snöänglar” (snow angels)”. After we hung up, I started thinking about why I named the concert snow angels. What are snow angels to me? What do they stand for? And I thought, why not write a song about snow angels that I can perform at the concert.
This was not just any concert for me. I hadn’t been singing for a few years after both my parents died. When my father died a few years earlier, I had to stop singing. I just couldn’t sing without crying. When this concert was about to take place, my mother had also passed away. But during her last year in life, I had found a way back to music through songwriting. A path that helped me process the grief and made it possible for me to start singing again. The song snow angel is also about this. About coming out of a dark period and being able to see the beauty and enjoy life again.
SNOW ANGEL – lyrics
Snow is falling from winter clouds, like crystal in the sky
White cotton landscapes and meadows made of duvets
So soft, you want to dive in and let your soul fly,
fly high from the ground in a
Snow Angel, Snow Angel, playful and white
A piece of heaven on the ground, spreading its light
Snow Angel, Snow Angel, limited in time
Elusive and lovely is mine
A piece of art made in childish games, innocent and pure
No one can catch it, so magic and obscure
It shines so bright in the sun, wings that a glowing, it’s snowing
Snow Angel, Snow Angel, playful and white
A piece of heaven on the ground, spreading its light
Snow Angel, Snow Angel, limited in time
Elusive and lovely is mine
Is there a snow angel heaven?
I believe so
That’s where my snow angels go
Snow Angel, Snow Angel, playful and white
A piece of heaven on the ground, spreading its light
Snow Angel, Snow Angel, limited in time
Elusive and lovely is mine
